Welcome to Gordon West Radio School!
We offer the absolute finest in ham radio study training materials and VERY EXCITING weekend classes — taught by “Gordo-Approved Ham Instructors” in your area — that do a lot more than just crunch the Q & A’s.
The Citrus Belt Amateur Radio Club is the oldest Ham Club in the Southern California Inland Empire. CBarC has a fully equipped Ham Shack located in Highland, CA. The members maintain emergency communications radio links with San Bernardino County and California State ECS and OES agencies.
Bob Heil, Gordon West, George Thomas, Don Wilbanks and Cheryl Lasik will cover the excitement and importance of ham radio – from tossing an antenna wire in a tree allowing you to talk to the world, to the importance of ham radio operators in time of disasters. If you have videos, send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Records live every Wednesday at 6:00pm PT/9:00pm ET.
The Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (as AMSAT is officially known) was first formed in the District of Columbia in 1969 as an educational organization. Its goal was to foster Amateur Radio’s participation in space research and communication. AMSAT was founded to continue the efforts, begun in 1961, by Project OSCAR, a west coast USA-based group which built and launched the very first Amateur Radio satellite, OSCAR, on December 12, 1961, barely four years after the launch of Russia’s first Sputnik.
